
A total of 122 Jamaicans have been murdered across the island up to Saturday, February 17, according to the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
This represents a 25.2 per cent reduction in murders compared to the previous year when some 163 Jamaicans were murdered.
The parish of St James, the St Catherine South Police Division and the St Catherine North Police Division recorded the highest number of murders with 20, 13 and 9, respectively.
All 14 parishes recorded murders up to Saturday.
The police are also reporting a decline in rape, robbery and break-ins.
