3 men arrested, 3 cars seized in lottery scamming raid in Bath, St Thomas

Three men were arrested and three motor cars seized in an early morning anti-lottery scamming operation conducted by the police today in Bath, St Thomas.

Those arrested have been identified as: 29-year-old Collin Ramekie, otherwise called ‘Brasilia’, of Ginger Hill in Bath; 28-year-old Jermaine Dixon, otherwise called ‘Lee Chin’, also of Ginger Hill in Bath; and 33-year-old Sean McDowell, also called ‘Subaru’, also of Ginger Hill in Bath.

The police say a Toyota Crown and two Toyota Mark X believed to be owned by the arrested men were seized in the operation.

According to the police, a laptop and two cell phones belonging to Ramekie were seized after his one-bedroom dwelling was searched. However, he has no yet been charged as the police say he has so far refused to supply the password access to the laptop and cell phones found in his house.

Meanwhile, logs with what appeared to be the names, addresses and contact numbers of persons overseas were found after an analysis was done on a cell phones found during separate searches of the houses where Dixon and McDowell reside.

Both Dixon and McDowell have been charged with possession of identity information.
