Mere moments after it emerged that disgraced religious leader Kevin O Smith was en route to Kingston to be charged, disaster appears to have struck the convoy transporting the cult pastor, which was reportedly involved in an accident on this morning (October 25).

Speaking briefly with Our Today, a senior police official confirmed that an accident took place in the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine.

The police were still in the process of confirming whether Smith had succumbed to injuries sustained.

High-ranking officials within the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) are en route to the location, the senior cop explained.

Amateur video of the accident’s aftermath, showed Smith being extricated from the mangled remains of an unmarked vehicle by members of the Jamaica Fire Brigade and residents of the gorge.

There are close-up images of Smith’s apparently lifeless body circulating on social media.

As reported earlier, Smith was in the process of being transferred to Kingston, where police would have laid charges on the wealthy religious figure.
