Luwanna Williams is the latest woman to be appointed CEO of a major local bank.
She has been appointed Managing Director of JN Bank and comes only days after National Commercial Bank Jamaica confirmed Sheree Martin as CEO and the woman to hold the post. Williams, whose appointment takes effect on Monday, September 7, is a senior financial services executive with more than 20 years of experience across wealth management, investment banking and financial regulation in the Caribbean.
She previously served as President and CEO of PROVEN Wealth and was also employed at Jamaica National, JMMB Bank and the Bank of Jamaica. In making the announcement, deputy chairman and CEO of Jamaica National Group, Earl Jarrett, cited Williams’ experience, familiarity with JN and disciplined approach to financial leadership.

She holds a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Science with honours in Banking and Finance from The University of the West Indies.
In responding to the appointment, Williams said, “I am truly pleased to return to the JN Group, an institution that has played a significant role in my own professional journey and continues to hold a respected place in Jamaica and across the diaspora. This return is especially meaningful to me, and I look forward to contributing to the bank’s continued growth and impact. I am committed to leading with trust, integrity and respect, while keeping our people and members at the heart of what we do.”
