Local software development firm, Particular Presence Technologies (PPT) has been listed as the sole Caribbean partner for Amazon Web Services’ latest global expansion.
Recently announced, this sees PPT being added to the list of 74 new Amazon partners as part of AWS’ drive to increase its Competency, Service Delivery, Service Ready, and MSP Partners focused on building solutions and services for over a million active AWS customers worldwide.
AWS serves in more than 240 countries and territories. PPT is the only Jamaican company.

In receiving news of the designation, Delton Phillips, director of strategy and innovation at PPT, said: “We’re extremely proud of the achievement — receiving this designation. It was a rigorous but worthwhile process with AWS. This reflects our beliefs that customers can benefit from the economies of scale that cloud computing presents and AWS Lambda has proven to be a powerful option in the quiver organisations.”
The news of the partnership comes on the heels of Amazon adding Jamaica to its approved list of countries accepted for seller registration.
Particular Presence now forms part of the AWS Partner Network (APN), a global community of partners who leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build solutions and services for customers. As an APN member, PPT will deliver AWS cloud services to customers in the island to bring the best-in-class services to reduce data loss and increase their cybersecurity.
According to a news release from Amazon, “there are tens of thousands of AWS Partners across the globe. More than 90 per cent of Fortune 100 companies and the majority of Fortune 500 companies utilise AWS Partner solutions and services”.
