Another Chinese-operated store in downtown Kingston was raided yesterday, January 17, by the police, netting over J$100 million in counterfeit goods.

Detectives from Jamaica’s Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) conducted the operation, which took place on Barry Street, between 11 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.

During the operation, one man was taken into custody in connection with the seizure. The raid took place as C-TOC detectives carried out targeted operations in the busy commercial district. 

During the operation, they observed an establishment stocking a large quantity of Crocs footwear, suspected to be counterfeit. These items were promptly seized by the lawmen.

C-TOC detectives are carrying out further investigations into the seizure, with the possibility of more arrests to be made.
