The Earthquake Unit based at the University of the West Indies (UWI) says another ‘light’ tremor struck eastern sections of Jamaica just after midnight on Saturday (January 20).
According to the University of the West Indies institute, the magnitude 3.5 quake was recorded around 12:34 am with an epicenter 13 kilometres north of Yallahs, St Thomas.
The quake had a focal depth of 10 kilometres and was reportedly felt in Kingston and St Andrew.
As the second such incident to strike St Thomas in the last several hours, there were no reports of injuries or infrastructural damage.
