
A candlelight vigil was held in memory of dancehall artiste Kashmar over the weekend in Old Harbour Bay, St. Catherine.
A social media user who was in attendance at the vigil took to Instagram on Saturday (October 2) to say that the deejay’s death has really affected the people of Old Harbour Bay.
“Bwoy pinky it really hard enuh fe c a young youth weh help out the ppl just dead and gone so,” the user said.
“Kashmar candle light and d ole a Old Harbour Bay inna tears rest up Kashmar ur surely miss,” added the user.

Kashmar whose born name is Tevin Hill, was gunned down by unknown assailants in the community of Salt River, Clarendon on Thursday (September 23).
Hill was said to be hanging out in the community minutes before his death.
He was sitting in his Honda Accord with friends, when they were pounced upon by gunmen.
The “Choppa Lifestyle” deejay was shot several times and pronounced dead at hospital.
The entertainer is well-known for songs like “Pretty Little Freak” and “Banga”.
In July 2019, he narrowly escaped flying bullets in a drive-by shooting while on the set of a music video.
