
Jamaican conglomerate GraceKennedy Group has indicated that its operations have not it has not been affected by the recall of almost 6,000 cases of Capri Sun’s Wild Cherry juice blend.
The recall, issued by Kraft-Heinz in the United States and impacting 5,760 cases of Capri Sun, comes after cleaning solution was accidentally mixed in with the juice on a production line.
The “Best When Used By” date on the packages is June 25, 2023.
DISTRIBUTION THROUGH SUBSIDIARY
GraceKennedy Foods, through its World Brands Services division, is the local distributor of Capri Sun.
In the Caribbean, GraceKennedy distributes the juice product through its subsidiary Grace Foods Latin America and the Caribbean.
The recall, however, is taking place only in the United States and there reportedly no serious risk to health.
