Partnership combines regional portfolio power with local agronomic presence in the key organic banana-producing region of Valverde.
Caribbean Chemicals and Agencies Limited (CCAL), the region’s largest distributor of agricultural inputs, today announced a strategic investment in Productos y Servicios Agropecuarios Dominicanos E.I.R.L. (ProSADom). The transaction, executed through CCAL’s wholly-owned local subsidiary Caribbean Chemicals DR Limited (CCDR), accelerates the Group’s expansion into one of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing agricultural markets.
Based in Mao—the heart of the Valverde Province—ProSADom is a key supplier of agricultural inputs and technical services to local banana, rice and vegetable farmers, with a strong focus on the Dominican Republic’s world-leading organic banana export sector.
Under the agreement, CCDR and ProSADom will consolidate their product portfolios, technical expertise, and distribution channels. The combined entity will deliver a broader suite of crop-protection solutions, organic crop nutrition, and on-farm agronomic advisory services directly to growers.

“This investment marks a pivotal growth milestone for our Group,” said Joe Pires, Chairman of Caribbean Chemicals and Agencies Limited. “The Dominican Republic is a major driver of regional agriculture. By partnering with ProSADom—a company with deep roots and trusted client relationships in Mao—we are combining our regional scale and product access with their proven on-the-ground operational strength.”
Key Operational Highlights:
• Expanded Product Range: ProSADom customers gain immediate access to CCAL’s extensive portfolio of crop protection, specialty fertilizers, and sustainable farming inputs.
• Targeted Sector Support: Enhanced agronomic resources dedicated to advancing productivity, quality, and export compliance for the Dominican Republic’s organic banana industry.
• Preserved Local Expertise: ProSADom will retain its local team and leadership while leveraging the technical and financial backing of the broader Caribbean Chemicals family.

“Joining forces with CCDR allows us to elevate our service offering while maintaining the personal, localised support our farming community relies on,” said Erison Henríquez Espinal, CEO of ProSADom. “Together, we can bring advanced solutions to local growers and help strengthen the long-term competitiveness of Dominican agriculture.”
“By unifying our product portfolios, our on-the-ground agronomists can now offer total crop solutions tailored specifically to organic banana growers,” added Fabio Visón, General Manager of Caribbean Chemicals DR Limited. “This means more direct technical support, higher productivity, and stronger export quality for farmers across the Dominican Republic.”
“Our priority is to build upon ProSADom’s strong local foundation,” concluded Graham Dunkley, Managing Director of Caribbean Chemicals Jamaica Limited (CCJ), who oversees the DR operations. “We are strengthening local relationships by investing additional resources, expanding product availability, and deploying technical expertise to ensure farmers achieve higher yields and better results.”
