With the 2025 Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF) just two weeks away, organisers have unveiled a high-impact speaker lineup featuring regional heads of government, senior ministers, and global leaders in finance and technology.
Set for July 29–31 in Montego Bay, the event arrives at a pivotal moment for the region.
For centuries, the Caribbean’s geography has made it a strategic waypoint for global trade. But in today’s fast-moving, digitised economy, location alone is no longer enough. Connectivity, whether physical, digital, or institutional, is now the true currency of competitiveness. CIF 2025 will showcase how the region is leveraging that connectivity to position itself as a rising force in global investment, innovation, and sustainable growth.
As the flagship investment promotion initiative of the Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export), CIF 2025 is being staged as part of the Regional Private Sector Development Programme (RPSDP), funded by the European Union under their Global Gateway strategy.
Held under the theme ‘Smart. Green. Connected’, the forum will focus on four transformational sectors shaping the Caribbean’s future, namely digital transformation, sustainable agriculture, logistics & transportation, and the green economy transition. These areas are essential to building a climate-resilient, technology-driven, and globally competitive Caribbean economy.
“In today’s global economy, connectivity is the new currency, and the Caribbean is investing in it with purpose,” said Dr Damie Sinanan, executive director of the Caribbean Export Development Agency. “At CIF 2025, we’re not just imagining transformation, we’re showcasing how the region is intentionally designing smarter systems, stronger partnerships, and a future that’s built to compete and thrive.”
