King Pepper Products Limited and Home Choice Enterprise Limited have signed exclusive distribution agreements with Wanis International Foods, solidifying their commitment to expanding the reach of Jamaican products in the United Kingdom.

Culminating a landmark moment during a recent export and investment business mission to London—led by Investment and Commerce Minister Aubyn Hill—the signing ceremonies were witnessed by Hill and other Wanis stakeholders, marking a significant step in strengthening Jamaica’s exports to the UK.

These strategic partnerships aim to bring the authentic flavours and quality of Jamaican cuisine produced by King Pepper Products and Home Choice, closer to British consumers.

Minister Hill, who has been dubbed the ‘export evangelist’, in his drive to promote greater Jamaican exports, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnerships, saying “These partnerships between Home Choice as well as King Pepper Products and Wanis International Foods is a testament to the quality and strong appeal of Jamaican products in the UK marketplace.  It is a remarkable achievement and aligns perfectly with our mission to expand Jamaican exports and showcase the excellence of our local brands on the global stage.”

Shullette Cox, President of Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) was delighted at the signing and was pleased to highlight that the occasion was bolstered by Wanis’ participation in a mission led by JAMPRO’s UK Regional Office to Expo Jamaica 2023 in April.

Wanis International Foods is a respected distributor of Caribbean and international food products in the UK which brings extensive market knowledge and a strong distribution network that will enable King Pepper Products and Home Choice to reach a wider audience.

Their expertise and established presence in the UK market make them the ideal partner to represent our range of authentic Jamaican products to British consumers. Together, we look forward to making Eaton’s a household name in the UK.”

For his part, Shaheed Muhammad, general manager of Home Choice, noted that, “We anticipate a prosperous relationship on the basis that Home Choice offers unique product offerings like ginger, turmeric and sorrel extracts, which will enrich Wanis’s diverse product portfolio.”

Sanjay Wadhwani, CEO of Wanis International Foods, echoed the sentiments of his new partners, saying that, “This collaboration with King Pepper Products and Home Choice opens up exciting opportunities for our companies. We are committed to promoting Jamaican brands and contributing to the diversity of food choices available to consumers in the UK.”

The exclusive distribution agreements include a range of Jamaican products including seasonings, sauces, jams, chutneys, beverages and traditional food items, all crafted to deliver the essence of Jamaican culture to discerning UK consumers.
