JN Money Services (JNMS) launched its new mobile application, the JN Money App, on September 21, marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience for Jamaicans at home and abroad.
The launch comes at a critical period for JN Money clients, reinforcing JNMS’ commitment to strengthening convenience for its customers locally and overseas. The app supports customer transactions across key diaspora markets, including the United Kingdom, Canada and 12 states in the United States of America (USA), offering customers a faster, more convenient way to send money and manage their transactions.
Horace Hines, general manager of JNMS, described the launch as a critical step in repositioning the company within an increasingly digital and competitive remittance landscape. He said it provides customers with a faster, more intuitive and secure experience.

“It moves us beyond traditional transaction channels into a more scalable, always-on ecosystem that meets our customers where they are,” he said. “This is a game-changing platform that will enable us to serve customers more conveniently, efficiently and confidently.”
Mr Hines noted that the app is designed to align with customer behaviour, which is increasingly mobile-first. Like similar platforms, he said the JN Money app places remittance services directly in customers’ hands, addressing the growing demand for 24/7 financial access.
“What we’re doing is improving on what already exists,” he explained, noting that “customers can download the app from the Google Play Store or App Store to create an account, complete identity verification, add recipient details and send transfers in real time through a user-friendly interface.”
He added that the app allows customers to complete transactions much faster, with fewer steps and without needing to visit a branch or an agent.

“The JN Money App is a great option for customers who value convenience or may not live near one of our locations. It complements the personalised service provided by our branches and agents across the diaspora, giving customers the flexibility to choose the channel that best suits their needs while staying connected to loved ones in Jamaica,” Mr Hines said.
Reflecting on the impact of technology on the remittance sector, Mr Hines emphasised that solutions like the JN Money App are now more than just ‘value-added’.
“People want to send money anytime, anywhere, and they expect it to be quick, transparent and reliable,” he said. “The JN Money App is a key part of this evolution. It transforms the way we serve our customers while reinforcing our commitment, as the only Jamaican-owned remittance brand, to helping Jamaicans around the world stay connected with their loved ones.”
The launch of the JN Money App complements JN Money’s strategic expansion into nine new countries, in addition to new states in the USA and locations in the Cayman Islands in the past financial year.
