Man riding Missile killed after crashing into Ranger in St Elizabeth

A motorcyclist died from injuries sustained after crashing into a parked pickup truck on the New Market main road in northern St Elizabeth on Tuesday.

He has been identified by police as 58-year-old Marlon Johnson, a resident of Bethel Town district in Westmoreland.

According to a police report, around midday, Johnson was riding a purple Missile motorcycle along the New Market main road towards Bethel Town when he lost control and collided with a Ford Ranger pickup truck.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Statistics from the police show that, as of 6:00 am on Wednesday, 234 road fatalities have been recorded nationwide—one more than the 233 reported during the same period in 2024.
