A woman has died following an early morning incident in the vicinity of Bog Walk Gorge on Sunday (September 26).

Reports are that at around 1:30 a.m. a man and woman were travelling in an AD wagon which plunged into the Rio Cobre near the gorge.

The male driver was able to escape the vehicle unhurt.

However, the woman , 26-year-old Mckedia Hudson, succumbed to injuries she sustained in the incident.

It is unclear why the couple were travelling at the time given that the nightly curfew began at 6:00p.m.
