Sports and football fans are clutching their pearls as it has been announced that Kylian Mbappé may play for Real Madrid this year.

Although he has not yet signed the contract with Real Madrid, news of this possible switch is enough to send France and fans into a frenzy.

According to BBC Sport, the twenty-five-year-old who currently plays for Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain, is set to make €15 million a season, should he sign this five-year deal with Real Madrid.

Ligue 1 has yet to release a statement, but the common consensus online is that Mbappé has outgrown top-flight French football, and deserves to branch out.
