The ShenYeng fan base is breathing a sigh of relief following Shenseea’s release of Hit & Run, a single that ends her two-year hiatus from the Dancehall industry.

Shenseea faced heavy backlash from fans, particularly those in Jamaica when she announced her departure from Dancehall to pursue a career in the Hip-Hop industry.

While the Blessed artiste was optimistic about this new venture, her fans were not supportive, with mounting claims that her Hip Hop songs were a flop. Some even claimed that she “fell off” as an artiste and lost her way.

Desperate to her another hit single like Sheng Yeng Anthem, fans begged the artiste to return to Dancehall, stating that she would not succeed in the music industry if she did not stay true to her roots.

Their pleas were finally answered last week Friday when Shenseea dropped Hit & Run, a song that features Dancehall artiste Masicka and is produced by Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor.

Within 24 hours, the single clocked over one million views on YouTube. Hit & Run is now the number one trending song in Jamaica, with more than four million views.
