The police have arrested a man and a woman following the seizure of a Taurus 9mm pistol, two magazines and seven rounds of ammunition in Cambridge, St James, today, January 29.

The police said the weapon and ammunition were seized during a joint police/military operation around 6:30 a.m. in the area.

During the search, the firearm, magazines and ammunition were found under a mattress at the location.

The identities of the individuals are being withheld pending further investigations.
