Police charge two for lottery scamming

The police are reporting that they have arrested and charged two individuals in connection to lottery scamming activities on Thursday, January 11, in St James.

They are 32-year-old Linton Manderson, otherwise called ‘Pops’ or ‘Omar’, a farmer of Mount Pellier, Gutters District, St James; and 23-year-old Natasha Mills, otherwise called ‘Tasha’, of Sinks District, Clarendon and Mount Pellier, Gutters District, St James.

Reports are that an operation was conducted at a premises in Gutters District, St James, where a search was done and officers found identity information of the names and addresses of persons living overseas.

The two individuals were taken into custody and subsequently charged after question-and-answer interviews.

Both Manderson and Mills have been charged with knowingly possessing identity information.

Their court dates are yet to be finalised.
