Convicted leader of the Clansman One-Don Gang Andre ‘Blackman’ Bryan and his 14-co-convicts are to know their fate this week, following the resumption of their sentencing hearing today, October 2, in the Supreme Court.
The sentence hearing, which began on Monday, September 26, was adjourned on Tuesday, September 27, by Chief Justice Bryan Sykes.
Sykes is set to review the submissions made by the attorneys representing the 15 gang members and begin handing down sentences by tomorrow, October 3.
Bryan was found guilty on March 8 of leading a criminal organisation and seven counts of facilitating the commission of a serious offence of a criminal organisation.
Blackman, who requested to speak on Tuesday, said that he found the criminal claims laid against him to be intriguing. He also quoted scriptures from the bible to proclaim his innocence.
The trial began in September 2021.
