Following the deaths of eight during the Astroworld Festival held at Houston’s NRG Park over the weekend, Travis Scott has announced he will be refunding all attendees.

Set to headline Day N Vegas Festival, scheduled for November 13, sources close to the rapper have disclosed that he will no longer be performing at that concert as he is too distraught to play following fatal incident last Friday night.

Chaos ensued at the Astroworld concert around 9:30, as patrons bomb-rushed the stage in excitement. During the melee, hundreds of attendees in a crowd of 50,000 suffered injuries, some cardiac arrests and, a police officer, stab wounds. Among the eight attendees who died were two teenagers, ages 14 and 16. The oldest of the dead was 27.

Lawsuits against Scott, rapper Drake and the organisers of Astroworld have since been filed.

Scott has offered to cover the funeral expenses of the fans who lost their lives from the crowd surge at the annually held concert. The rapper has also partnered with BetterHelp (a network of mental health professionals) to supply free one-on-one online therapy for those affected by the tragedy.
