Warner Bros. Pictures on Tuesday, April 9, released the trailer for the next installment in DC Universe’s Joker franchise, Joker: Folie à Deux.

The film will be a musical psychological thriller film. Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as the DC Comics character, the Joker, and American singer, songwriter and actress Lady Gaga has been cast as Joker’s love interest from the source material, Harley Quinn.

The film will be a direct sequel to 2019’s Joker and the teaser shows the two characters crossing paths, seemingly the beginnings of the toxic, psychotic infatuation between them.

The film is to be released later this year on October 4.
