Barcelona’s Champions League run may be over, but Lamine Yamal still found a way to steal the spotlight.

At just 18 years and 275 days, the young winger became the youngest player ever to reach 20 goal contributions in the competition, with 11 goals and nine assists before even turning 19. He hit the milestone in Barcelona’s 2–1 win over Atlético Madrid, scoring early to spark hopes of a comeback.

That comeback never came. Diego Simeone’s Atlético side held on to win 3–2 on aggregate, ending Barcelona’s campaign at the quarterfinal stage.

Still, Yamal walked away with another record, becoming the youngest player to reach double digit goal contributions in a single Champions League season, beating a mark previously held by Erling Haaland.

Even with the early exit, the teenager’s numbers this season outpaced several of Europe’s biggest names  including Vinicius Junior, Mohamed Salah and Ousmane Dembélé and more.
