
The police have imposed another 48-hour curfew in sections of Nannyville in the St Andrew Central Division amid a flare-up of violence.
The curfew commenced at 8 a.m. on Sunday, February 4, and will remain effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday, February 6.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
South: along Nanny Boulevard from Mountain View Avenue.
West: along Statue Road from Nanny Boulevard.
North: along Statue Road from Mountain View Avenue.
East: along Mountain View Avenue from Nanny Boulevard to Statue Road.
The police says between the hours of the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises, unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
This is the second curfew that has been imposed in the area since the start of the year.
Since the start of the year, the St Andrew Central Police Division has recorded a total of six murders, which marks an increase compared to the four murders recorded in the same period last year.
