
In a media release on Sunday (March 19), Beryllium said it is currently assessing operations islandwide for the safety of its clients and staff following a Sunday attack at a Scotiabank in Portmore, St. Catherine.
Andre McLean, president of Beryllium Limited, said the company is aware of the incident which resulted in four crew members being shot and is currently cooperating with the police in their investigations.
Sunday’s incident, which left four security personnel including three guards and the driver injured, is the second attack to occur against the Beryllium security guards in St Catherine within the last 30 days.
Last month, a three-man security team was also attacked leaving one security guard dead and another facing serious injury.
