Jamaican air conditioning and energy company, CAC 2000 Limited has opened its first retail store.

The store, which was opened last week is located at Shop #U3, Village Plaza in St Andrew, which is the new home of EnRvate Limited, a joint partnership between CAC 2000 Limited and Tropical Battery Jamaica.

The new store will be focused on delivering CAC 2000’s energy and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) products and services. With this expansion, CAC 2000 is set to ramp up its expansions plans, which were put on hold due to the pandemic and the resultant economic challenges.

18.8% DECLINE IN REVENUE

Last year, CAC 2000 recorded a 22.5 per cent increase in profit before tax of J$39.8 million. The increased profit was achieved through increased efficiency, in part attributable to the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system introduced last financial year.

It came on the back of an 18.8 per cent decline in revenue, even as the company navigates shocks and inconsistencies in supply chain management that continue to impact operations.
