The police have charged a deliveryman of Lancaster Road in Kingston 10 with attempted murder and attempted rape following an incident on Friday, February 2.

His identity has been revealed as 39-year-old Michael Bresford.

Reports from the Half-Way Tree Police are that about 12:40 am, the woman was at home with Grant, whom she had a previous relationship with.

Bresford reportedly demanded sexual favours and when his demands were not met, he pulled a knife and stabbed her multiple times all over her body.

The woman was later assisted to the hospital, where she was admitted in serious condition. Bresford reportedly went to the Half-Way Tree Police Station and confessed to the crime.

He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Bresford is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish on Friday, April 26.
