Great Britain made history at the World Athletics Indoor Championships, claiming three gold medals in just 28 minutes to secure the team’s best-ever haul. 

Georgia Hunter Bell kicked off the medal frenzy by storming to her first global 1500m title, before pole vaulter Molly Caudery returned to the top of the podium, and Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson sealed the sweep with a dominant 800m victory.

Hunter Bell, making her return to the championships after a five-year break from the sport, outpaced Ethiopia’s Birke Haylom in the final lap to win in 3:58.53.

Caudery, already assured silver when her teammate crossed the line, cleared 4.85 metres to reclaim the pole vault title she first won two years ago.

Hodgkinson, the world record holder, cruised to her first world indoor gold, which gave Britain its most successful World Athletics Indoor Championships ever, surpassing the three golds won in 1999.
