In keeping with an announcement made by the Health Ministry on Sunday (June 20), that vaccinations would not take place on Monday (June 21) and Tuesday (June 22), the ministry has advised it has resumed second-dose inoculations for persons 50 years and older as of today (June 23).

According to a media statement from the ministry, second-dose vaccinations for persons 50 years and older have resumed and contact will be made with these persons to confirm their updated appointment dates.

In the interim, the ministry has askedthat individuals refrain from visiting vaccination centres, unless told to do so by a representative from the health department.

Persons who have been contacted to receive their second dose are being reminded that they should take their vaccination card, TRN, government-issued identification or letter from a Justice of the Peace to the vaccination site.

A full rollout of second-dose vaccinations for all age groups across the island is expected to resume this weekend and the ministry said more information on this would be provided as soon as it becomes available.
