
According to the latest information made available by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW), Jamaica recorded 560 new COVID-19 infections.
The data shows that the bulk of the new infections were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew which recorded 105 new cases and St Ann which recorded 89.
In addition the MOHW revealed that 27 persons died from the virus.
While the majority of deaths were recorded in the 60 and over age cohort, the data showed a 41-year-old female from St. Elizabeth and a 24-day-old female from KSA having fallen victim to the respiratory virus.
Since the start of the virus in March 2020 Jamaica has recorded a total of 75,857 COVID-19 cases.
