A 25-year-old Jamaican fugitive wanted for murder in Texas has been captured in St. Mary.

He is Patrick Dave Anderson, who was arrested early Friday morning during a joint operation between the St. Mary Police and the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team (JFAT) in the Alleppo community of Clonmel.

Anderson, who was wanted in the U.S. for murder, attempted capital murder, and aggravated assault with a weapon, surrendered without incident after authorities searched two houses on the property. He has since been transported to Kingston for extradition.                                                                      

St. Mary Police Chief Anthony Wallace stated that law enforcement is intensifying efforts to ensure the parish is not used as a safe haven for criminal elements.
