After four years of marriage, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are filing for divorce.

In a joint statement released on Wednesday, September 6, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner left a statement on their respective social media pages confirming the decision to split, noting it was “amicable” and a “united decision”.

The couple’s statement read: “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but truly, this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

The now-separated couple have two daughters together, ages one and three.
