A Jamaican man was arrested overseas and deported to the island, following charged by the Kingston Western police for a 2018 murder.

Charged is 50-year-old Omar Berford, otherwise called ‘Guns’ and ‘Gunnoz’, of Upper Oxford Street, Kingston 14.

He was deported to Jamaica on December 21, 2023, and charged on December 25 for the murder of 31-year-old Tomolo Thomas.

His court date is being arranged.

According to official police reports, in September 2018, Thomas and Berford were at their Upper Oxford Street address when an argument developed between them. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in Berford reportedly stabbing Thomas multiple times in the head and neck. Thomas was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
