Part of its rapid Caribbean expansion push

Jamaica is getting more non-stop flights from low cost carrier, Frontier Airlines, as the country’s tourism sector gathers momentum from its closure last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The move is premised on the fact that Jamaica is currently open for tourism. As more and more travelers are back visiting Jamaica, and the fact that it is now getting much even easier to visit the island, Frontier Airlines is launching new non-stop flights to the island as part of its rapid Caribbean expansion push.

Beginning this November, Frontier will kick off non-stop service from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Jamaica via Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport.

Frontier one of the fast growing carriers to the region

The flights will operate three times each week.

Frontier has been one of the fastest-growing carriers to the Caribbean since the onset of the pandemic with a wave of new flights to the region from airports like Orlando and Miami.

Commenting on the new flights coming to Jamaica, Senior Vice President at Frontier Airlines Daniel Shurz remarked: “We’re thrilled to continue growing. We remain focused on identifying routes where our ‘Low Fares Done Right’ service benefits customers the most with affordability and convenience.”

The announcement comes after Frontier recently launched another new route to Montego Bay, with three weekly flights from Miami International Airport that started operating in May. Frontier also announced the planned launch of another Caribbean route from Atlanta, with four weekly flights to Cancun set to kick off on November 2.
