Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for cocaine during an ATP event in Mallorca in June.

The 3-year-old confirmed the failed test on Wednesday, accepting responsibility and saying the past few years of injuries and the challenges of his career had taken a toll on him.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency confirmed the suspension, which has been in effect since August 4th, while the length of the ban is determined and Kyrgios retains the right to appeal. Kyrgios, a former Wimbledon finalist and former world number 13, says he will step away from social media and public life for 28 days as he focuses on his wellbeing.
