Food truck tour kickoffs at Carnival Road March

Pepsi Cola Jamaica (PCJ) will hit the road to serve up street food with a flair on the streets of Kingston, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios with a new food truck venture.

With a team of four talented chefs, the Pepsi Food Truck Pop-Up promises to treat taste buds to mouthfuls of epicurean and Jamaican bites perfected with a touch of culinary class designed to pair perfectly with the refreshing taste of Pepsi Cola.

The Pepsi Food Truck tour kicks off this Sunday (April 16) at the Jamaica Carnival Road March on Knutsford Boulevard with Chef Yassi Brissett (@theskinnychefyassi).

Chef Yassi is known for his “leave the plate clean”, healthy, nutritious, and flavorful dishes.

Patrons can look forward to his glazed chicken wings with Pepsi-tamarind sauce, spicy slow-cooked beef tacos with pico de gallo and pineapple jerk salsa, and his Jamdung conch fritters, and other crowd favourites.

The delicious journey continues on April 23 in Ocho Rios with Chef Liyah (@playtz.ja), May 12 in Papine with Chef Card (@chef.card) and May 28 in Montego Bay with Chef Andre (@andre.cooks).

According to PCJ brand coordinator Yanique Dawkins, the menus are created by the chefs and will differ at each pop-up location, so patrons are in for a treat and are encouraged to try them all.

“We’re calling all foodies! We are thrilled to introduce this unique culinary experience that continues to connect Pepsi-Cola to Jamaican food and culture. It’s not about just joining a line and getting your food; instead, people can expect a truly immersive experience with Jamaican culture that brings people together through a shared love of good food and good vibes,” said Dawkins.

She continued, “Jamaican food is known for its bold and vibrant flavours, and it pairs perfectly with the refreshing taste of Pepsi, and what better way to start than at the Jamaica Carnival Road March.”

Pepsi Cola Jamaica is the official beverage partner for the 2023 staging of Xodus and Yardmas Carnival, including their lead-up events. With brands Pepsi, Tropicana and Ocean Spray at the forefront, patrons can look forward to exciting drink mixes and even giveaways through their social media platforms.
