Prime Minister Andrew Holness has moved swiftly to condemn the shooting attack on a director of the Integrity Commission, pledging the government’s full support to and their family.

On Thursday, September 21, a director of the Integrity Commission was reportedly shot and injured in the car park of the agency’s offices in New Kingston, St Andrew.

Speaking with Our Today, Senior Superintendent of Police Stephanie Lindsay, head of the Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU), said the JCF was unable to confirm or disclose any information related to the incident.

We are deeply concerned about this incident and express our heartfelt sympathy and support to the injured director and their family. Such violence has no place in our society. We must stand together in condemning it and in supporting those who are committed to upholding the principles of honesty and integrity in our nation.
