
The People’s National Party Women’s Movement warmly welcomes Councillor Tanyalee Williams following her decision to cross the floor and join the People’s National Party.
We recognise this decision as a significant step in Councillor Williams’ political journey and welcome her into a movement grounded in service, representation, progressive leadership, and one that ‘Puts People First’ in all that we do.
PNP Women’s Movement Vice President Tiara Murray said, “The women of the PNP extend a very warm welcome to Councillor Tanyalee Williams as she crosses the floor and joins the People’s National Party. We stand ready and resolute to support her in the May Pen North Division and to work alongside her as she continues her journey of service to the people of Clarendon.
“We believe that women must continue to stand together, support one another and take their rightful place in leadership. Councillor Williams’ decision represents an important moment, and we are pleased to welcome her into the PNP family.

Councillor Williams’ decision comes at an important time for Clarendon and signals a new chapter in the political landscape of the parish. The Women’s Movement is confident that her presence will further strengthen the PNP’s commitment to meaningful representation and responsive leadership at the municipal level.
