The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) has initiated a dialogue with the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) about fortifying Jamaica’s labour force.

The powerful private sector lobby group is also interested in bridging the skills gap in the island through tailored university programmes.

Subscribing to the philosophy that building a stronger Jamaica requires collaboration and dialogue, a team from the PSOJ met recently with newly appointed UWI Mona Principal, Professor Densil Williams sharing its ideas on the subjects with him.

The PSOJ team led by its President, Metry Seaga and Interim Executive Director, Georgette Bolton-Smith  had an enriching conversation with Professor Densil Williams.

At the end of the discourse, the PSOJ team reported, “we’re excited about the prospect of collaborating with UWI on research to fuel our advocacy for an export-led economy. Let’s shape the future of Jamaica, one conversation at a time!”
