Ramon Small-Ferguson re-elected Jamaica Securities Dealers Association president

Ramon Small-Ferguson has been re-elected president of the Jamaica Securities Dealers Association (JSDA) at its annual general meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday, April 24.

Small-Ferguson is currently the CEO of Barita Investments Limited and managing director of Barita Unit Trusts Management Company Limited.

Rejoining Small-Ferguson are Kwame Brooks, country treasurer of the JMMB Group; and Stacy-Ann Tait, senior vice president of investments at NCB Capital Markets.

Tara Nunes, senior vice president and CEO of Sagicor Investments Jamaica Limited, resumes her role as secretary, while Denise Marshall-Miller, senior manager of bond, equity, and digital asset trading at VM Wealth Management Limited, continues as treasurer.

Additionally, Kwame Brooks, Country Treasurer of the JMMB Group and Stacy-Ann Tait, Senior Vice President of Investments at NCB Capital Markets were re-elected first and second Vice Presidents, respectively.

Together, they constitute the officer corps of the JSDA.

The re-elected President expressed gratitude to the JSDA Directors for their continued confidence in his leadership.

“I look forward to building on our achievements and further strengthening the securities dealing sector through prudent policies and constructive engagement with all stakeholders,” said Small-Ferguson.

“The Association remains committed to capital market deepening, investor education, regulatory reform collaboration, and upholding robust risk management standards,” he continued.
