Second female to be appointed to the post

Tamii Brown, general manager of Salada Foods.

Salada Foods Jamaica Limited has announced the appointment of Tamii Brown as general manager, effective yesterday (February 7).

Brown has been acting as general manager since November 1, 2021 when Dianna Blake-Bennett, the first female general manager, demitted office on October 31, 2021.

Prior to being appointed acting general manager, she held the position of commercial and corporate affairs manager.

Brown joined Salada in 2017 as commercial and corporate affairs manager with responsibility for leading the marketing and positioning of Salada’s brands and overseeing its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

ACCOMPLISHED, OUTCOME-ORIENTED INDIVIDUAL

As part of her mandate she directly liaises with Salada’s local and international partners to support the joint efforts for sustainable growth of the Salada portfolio in each market.

Salada noted that Brown is an accomplished, outcome-oriented individual with invaluable business development, communications and marketing experience in the manufacturing, FMCG distribution and technology industries.

She is a graduate of the Mona School of Business, University of the West Indies, where she holds Masters in Business Administration (Marketing). 

Brown has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Mass Communications and Spanish from York University.
