The Victoria Mutual Building Society hosted a special one-day ‘Keys to Your Dream’ event at its Half-Way Tree branch in St Andrew on Saturday (April 12), as part of what it called strategic support for Jamaicans on their journey towards home and automobile ownership.
The VMBS event brought together real estate professionals, automotive partners, and financial experts to provide attendees with the tools, resources, and insights needed to achieve their goals.
Activities included on-the-spot mortgage pre-approvals and auto loan quotes, guidance from top real estate experts and leading car dealers, live expert workshops, savings account openings, exciting giveaways and car displays, and a special YouTube session for members of the Jamaican Diaspora.
The event was free and open to the public, and assistant vice president for lending solutions and business services at VMBS, Latoya Williams, reinforced the value of the support, no matter where individuals are in their journey.
“VM is committed to helping our members unlock their dreams, whether they’re starting the journey from right here in Jamaica or from abroad. Whether you’re buying your first home, upgrading your ride, or just exploring your options, ‘Keys to Your Dream’ offers a personalised and informative journey to financial freedom and asset ownership. At VM, we believe that dreams should be accessible, and this event is all about bringing real people, real products, and real opportunities together in one space, helping to turn aspirations into action – and connecting our Members to the right people and products to make it happen,” Williams stated.
Topics explored at the live expert workshops included the mortgage application and pre-approval process, accessing NHT benefits, mortgage solutions for self-employed individuals, owning a piece of the rock for those in the diaspora, tips for saving for a deposit, among others.
