Former talk show host Wendy Williams, who was declared ‘permanently incapacitated’ due to early-onset dementia last November, has vehemently denied these claims and is now seeking to terminate her conservatorship.

In an interview with ‘The Breakfast Club‘, Williams sounded distraught as she described her situation to the host, Charlamagne Tha God in a phone interview. “My life is like fu*@ed up,” she said.

Charlemagne asked Wendy Williams’ niece, Alex Finnie, if she believed there would be repercussions from the interview with her guardians, to which she confirmed.

“Yeah, we talked about that…even with her wanting to come one, we talk about all scenarios,” said Finnie. “She’s prepared for the fact that her phone might taken away. What you’re hearing now is a few minute clip of what we’ve been dealing with for the last several months and the last two, three years.”

“What if they take my phone?” Williams cried. “I won’t be able to talk to anybody.”

“I am not cognitively impaired. But I feel like I am in prison,” Williams said. “I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s. There’s something wrong with these people here on this floor.”

“This system is broken,” and she feels that her treatment plan is “emotional abuse,” Williams added.

According to Finnie, Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has her previous phone. Finnie alleges that Wendy can make calls, but no one can call her. “They won’t allow her to leave or have visitors,” she said. “So you can’t even leave and take a walk if you wanted to, or take a trip or visit family members.”

Williams noted thats he is not allowed to shop for herself either and that she has gotten pushback when trying to pick her own doctors. She also wants to visit her 94-year-old father for his birthday in February but is not confident that her guardian will not allow it.

Finnie said that Wendy has not had a medical evaluation to determine if her rights can be restored. “And it seems as though that instead of this guardian, Sabrina, working with her, it seems like she’s made it difficult every which way for my aunt to be able to live any sort of healthy, independent life.”
