The police now have seven men and four women in custody following a robbery at a Western Union location in Hope Bay, Portland.

It is suspected that one of the robbers, known as Orlando, age 24, died, and two persons are battling for life at the Port Antonio Hospital.

This is the third attempt at that specific Western Union location; Both occurred last year, which resulted in the assignment of armed security.

It is alleged that they chose Sunday night for the attempt, given that fewer patrols were being done.

On Monday, the police arrested two women and a man walking on a nearby beach, who are suspected of being connected to the robbery. It is suspected that the three were walking to Orange Bay along the coastline to head either to Kingston or St. James.

Investigation ongoing, and the police are currently scouting the shorelines of Portland for guns that would have been used in the robbery attempt.
