A new customer service focused company has been launched in Jamaica with a mission to enhance the competency and quality of the local workforce.
Key Advantage Training & Recruitment Solutions (KATRS), the brainchild of hospitality industry veteran Ann-Marie Goffe Pryce, was launched last Saturday (July 24) by Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett at the Hilton Hotel Montego Bay in St James.
The company offers recruitment services, standardised training programmes that assist with job market preparation and competency enhancement and tailored training programmes for organisations.
“[KATRS aims] to propel people and organisations, particularly those in the hospitality, business process outsourcing, and sales and retail industries towards greater success and to provide an anchor for them to maintain it.”

With a tag line “unlocking doors to success”, Goffe Pryce, KATRS founder and CEO, said the company aims “to propel people and organisations, particularly those in the hospitality, business process outsourcing, and sales and retail industries towards greater success and to provide an anchor for them to maintain it”.
She said the company’s services are designed to address two primary challenges – a growing need for multiple alternatives for pre-screened, competent job ready candidates and a deficiency in dynamic data based strategies to revitalise the performance of existing employees. The courses include housekeeping, front office procedures, customer service and digital skills and are certified by HEART/NTCVET.
Key Advantage Training & Recruitment Solutions boasts a cadre of highly qualified professionals including Board Chair Charmaine Deane; Janice Johnson Campbell, training director and Alicia Mullings, chief operating officer.
