Fourth Monkeypox case reported in Jamaica

The Ministry of Health announced today (August 10) that Jamaica has recorded a fourth Monkeypox case.

This is the second locally transmitted case that has been confirmed on the island.

The patient is said to have not been in contact with the three previously reported patients and is currently at home self-isolating.

In the meantime, the parish health department is conducting contact tracing to determine the extent of the spread.
