The Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) has elected a new executive led by Tyrone Reid as President.
The election took place at yesterday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the association’s East Avenue head office in St. Andrew. The award-winning investigative journalist and Managing Editor at CVM Television leads a new nine-member Executive for a two-year term.
The other members of the executive are First Vice-President, Kimberly Hibbert; Second Vice-President, Kimone Francis; Treasurer, Dashan Hendricks; Secretary, Neika Lewis; and Assistant Secretary, Jevaugn Keys. Three directors in Zahra Burton, Jovan Johnson and Janel Silvera, were also elected at the AGM.
In his response, the new PAJ President expressed his thanks and honour to serve. “There is a lot of work to be done. I believe in teamwork, which will make the dream work,” Reid said in his brief acceptance speech.
