Amazon has launched “Supply Chain by Amazon,” an end-to-end automated e-commerce solution designed to streamline the supply chain process for sellers, helping them efficiently ship products worldwide.

Dharmesh Mehta, vice-president of Worldwide Selling Partner Services at Amazon, made the announcement via a post on the company’s blog site on Tuesday, September 12.

He said, “Sellers can now benefit from Amazon’s advanced logistics, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and transportation capabilities to keep products in stock, ship faster and more reliably, and significantly lower costs.”

This initiative builds on Amazon’s earlier milestone, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), launched in 2006. FBA simplified the process of order fulfillment and shipping for sellers, reducing operational burdens and costs. Supply Chain by Amazon extends this support further upstream in the supply chain process, starting with manufacturing and extending across all sales channels, including physical stores and online platforms.

Starting in October, Amazon is expanding its origin services closer to sellers’ factories, now opening the option to all sellers and offering streamlined ocean freight shipping, customs clearance, and all-inclusive pricing with discounts of up to 25 per cent on cross-border transportation to Amazon Warehousing Distribution (AWD).
