In celebration of their annual boss’s sale, the owners of the ATL Automotive Group Limited wanted to do something simple but truly surprising for their valued customers.
Recognising at least one pain point with which almost all their customers can relate, the ATL team put plans in place to solve, if even for only a few hours, the usual harassment that has become customary of the windscreen wipers located at Devon House.
Speaking with Our Today, Group Sales and Marketing Director at ATL Automotive, Stephen Hector stated: “Today we launched our annual boss’s sale, which is our biggest sale of the year and we wanted to do a few marketing activities to raise awareness and surprise people.”
He continued: “We looked at the Devon House light and the truth is the Devon House light has caused a lot of people a lot of problems, myself included, and our intention was to actually create a surprising change. So we engaged them (the windscreen wipers), it was 20 guys, for three hours during rush hour and we gave them proper windscreen wipers, proper windscreen washing fluid and we paid them.”
Wanting to show the world of difference the experience could be for drivers if the windscreen wipers were not aggressive but instead provided good customer service, Hector stated he required them to not take any funds from drivers, but instead to be polite and simply wish them a good day.
While noting that ATL’s game was not to play politics, Hector, who was on-site during the marketing project, said he was pleasantly surprised to see the positive reactions shared by both drivers and wipers thanks to the welcome change in the attitude of the wipers.
The exercise took place from 7:00 am to 9:30 am today.
