Design by Dru’s Chinese-Jamaican designer, now Miami native, Andrew Chuck, known almost entirely for his carnival costumes and feather work with some of the best and longest-running carnival bands across the Caribbean and North America, is now ready to debut his distinctive transition into swim and resort wear with the release of his first capsule collection and visual campaign, titled GEMMA.

The collection was inspired by four gemstones that emit positive, energising, and relaxing vibrations: Black Onyx, Agate, Jade, and Rose Quartz.

Every swimsuit was created to reveal the form and fit of each woman, regardless of shape or size, while also matching a gemstone hue and the therapeutic properties it conveys.

The capsule includes eight different styled swimsuit designs made with fluff cuts, high cut bikinis, and monokinis.

His designs were recently featured in Konshens’ newest video for his soca track She Got It featuring Rafa Pabon from his latest album, Red Reign.

Later this year, Dru plans to release new costume and resort wear concepts and pieces to expand his portfolio to make DesignsByDru a household name.
